Drumroll please…… there is actually a day called World Creativity and Innovation Day!!! I could not believe it!! Wwwaaaattttt! That excited me beyond measure. Creativity and innovation got its own day. It happens on the 21st of April every year. I can’t believe I missed all these days over the last years~ the last 20 years because this day was founded by Marci Segal in 2001 who passionate about creativity wanted to make a bigger place for it in the world.

World Creativity and Innovation Day
According to the website for World Creativity and Innovation Day, it is a worldwide community dedicated to celebrating all forms of creativity. They believe that Creativity is what makes the world go ’round. They say we shouldn’t just take our word for it – look around you: Everything around you is a product of creative minds thinking differently, challenging the norm, taking risks and learning from trial and error. Everything you do can be a creative act. Their mission is simple: we want to encourage people to use new ideas, make new decisions, and take the steps towards making the world (and your place in it) better through creative thinking.
According to Wikipedia,World Creativity and innovation day was adopted by the United Nations as a global United Nations day in 2017 to raise awareness around the importance of creativity and innovation in all aspects of human development,in problem solving with respect to advancing the United Nations sustainable goals,also known as the ‘global goals’. The purpose for this day is to remind and encourage people to use their creativity to make the world a better place and to make their place in the world better too.
Guys, it gets even better. It’s not just a day. Yep, you heard me!! It’s an entire week starting the 15th of April which is Leonardo Da Vinci’s birthday who is undoubtedly ‘one of the most creative people to have ever lived ‘ because he synergized both the arts and the sciences, all the way to the 21st of April. So right now, we are smack dab in the middle. Wwwoohhoo!!
I guess you are wondering why this has excited me so much. BECAUSE IT IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN TELLING YOU. We are all creative and the United Nations agrees with me and we can all make a difference. I have just taken a bow*

So all I can say is the world has declared it.United Nations has designated a whole day to it just to announce that- We are all creative!! And know that you are not creative for creativity sake but to use it to better yourself, your community and the world at large. You can express your creativity in various ways including writing.
